What's hiding between the hairs of your makeup brushes?
The face is a mirror health and every morning we look at it with the desire for a fresh, well-groomed appearance. But under the perfect application of powder or a gently shaded eyelid, something completely different can be hidden – invisible remnants of the pastHow many times have you makeup brush used without thoroughly cleansing it first? And what effect does this actually have on your skin?
Impurities you can't see but your skin can feel
With every application of makeup, pigment residues, oil and tiny skin particles get trapped between the bristles of the brush. Over time, microorganisms begin to multiply there, causing irritation, breakouts and loss of natural balance on the face.
Skin begins to show signs of fatigue, clogged pores and imperfectionsthat even the best powder cannot hide.
A well-maintained brush extends its life and improves application.
Many people still underestimate the power of a clean brush. But in reality, the cleanliness of the tool determines how well makeup will adhere to the skin. If the fibers are soft, flexible, and free of residue, the application will be even and the final effect will be flawless. A properly cleaned brush becomes your beauty ally, not an enemy in disguise.
Gentle care brings powerful results
A thorough cleaning starts with lukewarm water, which moistens the top of the brush without soaking the handle or metal part, where the glue is often located.
Next, apply a mild liquid soap or shampoo that does not irritate the material. Using circular movements, the brush is gently rubbed over the clean surface, removing the foam with visible paint residue. The process continues with rinsing under a gentle stream until the water becomes completely clear.
After washing, it is essential to gently wring out the bristles with your fingers or a soft cloth. The brush is then placed in a horizontal position, preferably on the edge of the surface, where the bristles hang over the edge, allowing air to circulate. This drying prevents moisture from being trapped inside and maintains the original shape. Drying should take place naturally, without the use of dryers or direct heat, which could damage the structure of the fibers.
Quick procedures are not a long-term solution
Although disinfectants and cleaning sprays provide a quick refresh for brushes, they are not sufficient to remove all residue. Thorough washing remains the only way for hair to maintain its structure. and do not become hard, sticky or split. With regular maintenance, each application will become pleasant, without the feeling of scratching or irritation.
