When to Marrakesh?

Marrakesh boasts a hot and dry climate practically all year round. For lovers of heat and sun, the place is perfect, as the temperature rises to a dramatic 43 °C in the summer. If you would like to avoid this, the best time to visit is from March to May, when temperatures hover around a pleasant 25°C. Even if the temperatures are more pleasant during this part of the year, don't forget the sun cream and sunglasses, while you can leave the umbrella at home with a clear conscience.

What should I see in Marrakech?

If you want to capture the true rhythm of the city, you must not miss the noisy, but at the same time sociable Medina, the oldest part of the city. Here you can find products from local artists and souvenirs that you can't leave the city without. Everything blends with the rich cultural and architectural heritage of Marrakesh, which is most clearly reflected in the beautifully preserved Islamic school from the 14th century. Ben Youssef Madrasa. This is a magnificent example of Moroccan design and architecture and the skilled hands of local artisans. One of the most striking sights of the city is undoubtedly the mosque Koutoubia, whose minaret rises as high as 77 meters.

After a hectic day exploring the city streets, rest your eyes in the greenery of the gardens Jardin Majorelle, whose co-owner was also famous in his time Yves Saint Laurent. Marrakesh was the city where the French designer of Algerian roots was happiest. In the evening, experience the melody of the traditional market for yourself Djemaa el Fna with exotic snakes, drummers, dancers, storytellers and jugglers. At the beginning of December, Morocco closed its borders to foreign travelers for 14 days precisely because of the threat of the new micron strain. After reopening from 13/12/2021, they will establish a system of lists of countries A and B, depending on the virus situation in the individual country. Travelers from countries on the A list must present a certificate of full vaccination before entering the Kingdom, as well as a medical form stating the address of residence in Morocco.

Upon arrival, the passengers' temperature is taken and some random ones are tested with HAG tests. Citizens of countries from the B list must present a vaccination certificate and a negative PCR test result not older than 48 hours upon arrival. Children between 6 and 11 years of age must also submit a negative PCR test result. Check all current information about Covid-19 restrictions HERE.
