April 20 is traditionally reserved for the Marihuana March, a rally in support of cannabis. It is considered one of the most misunderstood plants of our time, and Marijuana March 2017, like all the previous 12ths, will try to change the votes of those who stand against its legalization.
April 20, 2017 will be hosted by Ljubljana Marijuana March 2017. It is intended for education, information and protest against the country's wrong policies in the area hemp and cannabis. Collected on Congress Square you will be able to protest against a system that does not favor one of humanity's oldest, most valuable, and most versatile cultural plants, which rather exacerbates problems than solves them.
Mistreatment cannabis causes much more harm than is caused by its consumption among a part of the population, which is an excuse for the country's policy to keep it on the 'black list'. Scientific research, experience from abroad and, last but not least, trends in individual European countries and the recommendations of the European Commission point in the same direction, namely that decriminalization and regulation of cannabis the only solution.

Marijuana March is a traditional high school gathering that draws attention to the social, economic and health problems resulting from prohibition as the dominant form of regulation in the field of illegal drugs. The meeting is organized as part of the Prohibition project and is intended to present professional and political arguments for the abolition of the prohibition of cannabis and to present alternative solutions. The purpose of the project is to promote social discourse about cannabis and the (un)sensibility of prohibition, then to convince the public and above all the decision-makers of the expediency of cannabis decriminalization and, in the final phase, to achieve the decriminalization of cannabis in Slovenia.
