Mazda MX-5 – the best-selling roadster of all time gets a successor after a decade

On the 25th anniversary of the best-selling roadster of all time, Mazda celebrated this jubilee event in the best possible way: with the premiere of the all-new Mazda MX-5 model. In the early hours of today, this took place simultaneously in three completely different parts of the world, and at the same time, this brand also published the first set of official photos of the newcomer.

Power transmission to the rear wheels will be handled by a five-speed manual transmission and an automatic transmission.

As far as dimensions are concerned, the new MX-5 is, at 3.915 mm, even slightly so shorter than the current "miata", and the meter shows 1,730 and 1,235 mm in width and height, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2,315 mm. As standard, it will be mounted on 195/50 R 16 tires, the more powerful version will have an inch larger rims. Judging by the MX-5, they also paid attention to cost of ownership and use, which are supposed to be as low as possible, and the prices will also be competitive, which should not deviate excessively from those of the current version. It should hit the roads next year, and it will have its official premiere next month in Paris, when more information about the official prices will be announced.
