MBFWLJ 2018 is coming to the capital on May 10

As part of the extended program sixth edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Ljubljana will present the largest number of fashion designers ever. With this reason MBFWLJ 2018  postpones the date of fashion week from the announced date of April on May Day (May 10-12) thus adding an additional day of fashion events in the capital.

To established brands such as Akultura, Cliché, Draž, Sofia Nogard, Susnyara, Tanja Zorn, Xenia Design (HR) and IVANMAN (DE), are still joining Dajana Ljubičić, Janja Videc, Milica Vukadinović (SRB), Marko Glavinić (SRB), Sonja Jocić (SRB), Nelizabeta and Matea Benedetti, the latter with an innovative approach of intertwining innovation and sustainable development in fashion design with as many as two separate magazines. The May edition will also pay special attention designers of the younger generation, such as Sari Valenci (recipient of the MBFA 2015), Kaja Julija Hrovat (recipient of the MBFA 2016), Cilka Sadar (special recognition of the jury of the MBFA 2017) and Tjaša Zalar (recipient of the MBFA 2017), who, with their modern and fresh approaches to creation, are just establishing themselves on the Slovenian fashion scene.

#WeWonder Global Concept

It is part of this year's MBFW global campaign #mbcollective invited to participate and co-create the fashion story of Mercedes-Benz seven visionaries, who strive to understand the mobility of fashion. Among them are individuals from different backgrounds, professions and with different experiences, and the #WeWonder campaign also includes a recognized singer Solange Knowles, model Slick Woods, designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, curator and blogger Kimberly Drew, curator and fashion critic Hans Ulrich and the founder of the successful portal Hypebeast, Kevin Maj. All of the above combines a modern view of current events in fashion and current fashion trends.
