Immediately after the premiere of the new 650s model in Geneva, rumors spread that this brand is accelerating the development of a special, limited series intended for driving on the competition track, which is said to be chosen by as many as 12 percent of McLaren buyers.

Instead of 478, as much as 542 kW
As expected, the limited version of the 650S will be powered by the same 3.8-liter biturbo V8, but due to design changes, instead of 478 kW (650 horsepower), it will produce 542 kW (735 horsepower). Engineers are expected to achieve this without the addition of an electric motor, and details of the model's performance are currently unknown.

In addition to the special version of the 650S, other models in the brand's range should soon receive the same treatment.

Compared to the basic 650S, the limited series is expected to be around 30 thousand euros more expensive, which means that prices should start at 250 thousand euros without taxes, of course. However, it is expected that the MP4-12C model and the announced entry-level P13 will also receive the same treatment later.
