Ment Ljubljana 2018 will take place between January 31 and February 2, 2018. The main focus of the festival is on the music scene from the regional and Eastern European area, but the festival is not completely limited by this framework. Last year, Ment 2017 was visited by more than 3,400 visitors, and as many as 421 musicians performed. Tickets for the festival are already on sale.
Festival Ment Ljubljana 2018 between January 31 and February 2, 2018 returns to our capital. At the popular music festival this year, we expect mainly bands from Slovenian and of the Eastern European environment, although we will also be delighted by more exotic and distant musicians. Last year Ment Ljubljana visited 3400 visitors, and there was a line on the stage 421 creators.
This year's list of performers is as well rich, diverse, but above all very original. Two female musicians are coming as guests, each of them creating a real little revolution in their field. Mary Anne Hobbs is considered one of the most influential figures in the world of music media, a successful curator and DJ, Dorit Chrysler but she is called a witch at the theremin, an electronic instrument operated without physical contact. Its inventor Léon Theremin but plays an important role in the film Elektro Moscow, a documentary tribute to the Russian pioneers of futuristic sounds, which will be screened at the Slovenian Cinematheque. The concerts will take place in various locations in Ljubljana (Kino Šiška, AKC Metelkova Mesto, Orto bar, Stara mestna elektrarna, Hostel Celica, Slovenska Kinoteka and Club K4).
