Well, we just waited for it! Namely, the Mercedes-AMG road formula. The Project One supercar has been rumored for a long time, but now it's finally here and has lived up to all the high expectations. That's why we offer you some extremely impressive numbers right from the start: from 0 to 200 km/h in less than 6 seconds, a top speed of over 350 km/h, more than 1000 horsepower and as much as 25 kilometers of all-electric range.
Mercedes-AMG Project One will practically overshadow all Mercedes and AMG's achievements to date, because it is real an impressive road masterpiece. The exterior is extremely aerodynamic and made entirely of carbon fiber. Bulging fenders cover the huge wheels, and the overall profile reaches low to the ground. The roof, which descends towards the rear, hides under it 1.6-liter 6-cylinder engine, which was taken straight from Mercedes Formula 1 and spins to high 11,000 revolutions per minute. Added to this engine is electric motor, which takes care of hybrid electric acceleration, and both engines together transmit more than 671 horsepower.
They help the already mentioned engines two more electric ones, which is located in the first two rounds. They have each 161 horsepower and rotate with 50,000 revolutions per minute. Energy is stored in lithium-ion batteries, which 80 % of energy can be recovered when braking with the front wheels. The batteries weigh only 100 kilograms and there are quite a few of them four times more as in the Mercedes F1 W06 hybrid racing car. As is usual, such extraordinary cars are made in limited number. This time is no different, as they will produce only 275 specimens super sports car, and there are rumors that despite the price 2.275 million euros that's right all sold out.
The interior is better compared to other super innovations spartan. On two screens we have all the necessary data and information, but then there is not much left for us besides the Formula 1-style steering wheel. But that's okay, because the interior is also impressive and, for such a car, not even an extra luxury we don't miss. The steering wheel and pedals are adjustable, so any new owner will be able to drive these cars. The Mercedes-AMG Project One is everything we expected it to be. High performance technology, which borders on science fiction and brings experience with Formula 1 to the road and streets.
