Mercedes-Benz C-Class (2022): nicknamed ″Baby S″ caught on

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class was introduced way back in 1982, under the name W201, and over 10.5 million were sold in its 40-year history. The new generation will be offered in sedan and station wagon versions right from the start, all engines will be partially electrified, and the manual transmission will retire.

Fashion year 2022, brings for Mercedes-Benz C-Class design and above all technological changes. The visual image of the new C-Class coincides with those worn by the E-Class and the S-Class. You could even say that the new model quickly caught on to the nickname "Baby S". Regarding the exterior, some would argue that it is more than not a more pronounced refresh, but a look inside quickly convinces us of the fact that it is a new generation.

Only this one is similar to the one found in the S-Class. Display with gauges, available up to size 12.3-inch, will be accompanied by a touch screen that will be available up to the size 11.9-inch. The interior will be more spacious in the new generation, as the wheelbase is longer 25 mm. The entire car is longer by 65 mm and wider by 10 mm. Due to the slightly lower roof, the new C-Class has an even more "sporty" presence. In the limousine version, the size of the luggage compartment has remained unchanged and amounts to 455 liters. The station wagon has slightly more space, from 490 to 1,510 liters, which represents an increase in volume by 30 liters.

The whole range of engines will be one way or another electrified and connected to automatic 9-speed gearbox. Petrol and diesel engines will be available, in the form of mild ones hybrids, but of course we should not forget about incidental hybrid.
