There is no doubt that the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a true automotive icon. You will be hard-pressed to find a car that has been with us for decades and has remained practically unchanged during all this time. Despite the many changes offered over the decades, the Mercedes-Benz G steadfastly defies the test of time and once again confirms the rule that a recipe that works simply does not change.
Compared to its predecessors, it is latest Mercedes-Benz G (2019) underwent a radical change. Its essence remains the same, but the changes are more obvious than they have ever been on this model. On the exterior, a new design of the front and rear lights is noticeable, the front indicators are narrower, it is available new rim design, and the most noticeable are, of course, more rounded surfaces. The shape otherwise remains "cubic", but with distinctly less sharp edges. G class he grew by a good 5 centimeters in length, 12 centimeters in width and just under a centimeter in height.
Even more significant changes are in interior of the Mercedes-Benz G. This one has new materials, a new design and it's at first glance more luxurious as with previous models and reminds us of the other latest models in the Mercedes-Benz range. The G now has more space for all passengers, and the situation has improved considerably for those in the back seat. Because increased wheelbases and rearrangements of the rear seats are for passengers on these 15 centimeters more legroom.
Don't be fooled by all the added luxury of the G-Class. The Mercedes-Benz G remains one of the better SUVs and has off-road driving deep in its DNA. We still have it available 3 independent differential locks, reducer and on newly designed chassis. The front suspension is now independent, which means that driving on flat roads will be felt more comfortable, but the changes will not be felt on the ground. Entry, exit and other angles are all larger by at least 1° on average, and the depth of water that the Mercedes-Benz G can wade through has also increased. There will also be a so-called G-Mode driving mode, which is adapted for off-road driving, and accordingly adjusts the gears, the responsiveness of the gas pedal, the chassis and other elements necessary for off-road driving.

The Mercedes-Benz G550 will have the same 4 liter V8 engine like its predecessor. It has 416 horsepower and, more importantly, enough torque for all off-road needs. In 2019, it will join the existing engine 9-speed automatic transmission. What engines will G offer on the Slovenian market, for now not yet known. As usual, a significantly more powerful AMG version of the G-Class will also follow.
