Viano has grown and matured, you could say. Not that it used to be small or young, but the new generation, called Class V, actually makes it look that way. According to the proportions, it has stretched in length and now measures as much as 5.14 meters. In addition to the classic version, a longer and shorter version is now available. There are three engines to choose from, two gearboxes, and later also two drives.
The new Class V is similar to its predecessor only in terms of design, but everything else has been created anew. The front part is thus designed very car-like, which was also one of the highlights, as Daimler wanted to move the V away from vans and bring it completely closer to passenger vehicles.
The new V is said to offer all the comfort of a domestic sedan, even a parade - class S. The front part is characterized by a large amount of chrome, LED daytime running lights (not in all versions) and a big star. At the rear, however, it presents a novelty separate opening of the rear window, which makes loading smaller objects in narrow parking lots much easier.
There are two versions available, namely V and avantgarde, the latter is a bit more elegant, and for an additional fee there are also sport and design packages and the edition1 version, which offers all the comfort of business class, which means separate armchairs and swivels in the passenger cabin seats, in addition to the heating function, also the massage and cooling function for the seats in the first row and separate automatic climate control in the passenger compartment.
The interior is an exception higher entry and seating extremely comfortable, and the list of additional equipment is now approximately as long and varied as that of the largest domestic limousines. Class V is similarly comfortable to drive.
In terms of equipment, all comfort equipment is available as well as assistance systems, which we are already used to from other models with a three-pointed star on the nose, and it is worth mentioning the following systems: collision prevention assist, pre safe and distronic plus, as well as parking package with 360 degree camera.
For the engines, everything is in diesel colors, as they are available three versions of the 2.1-liter CDI or the BlueTec engine that can 100, 120 or 140 kW (the latter short-term even 150 kW). The drive is sent to the rear wheel pair, and next year in March, versions with four-wheel drive will also be available, and even before that, the shorter and longer body versions mentioned in the introduction. The gearbox is basically a six-speed manual, but for an additional fee it is replaced by the well-known and numbered 7G-Tronic plus gear automatic.

The V-Class is available with six, seven or eight seats, and for the third row, a system of boxes and partitions can also be useful, with which the trunk can be used even better. The novelty is the separate opening of the rear window, and the tailgate can also be moved electrically.
Prices start at 40 thousand euros, but they (importer) say that such a "with full equipment" costs 50 thousand euros. Surcharge for version avant-garde amounts to 7,310 euros, surcharge for more powerful engines but he can thousand and seven thousand respectively euros.
