The Mercedes-Benz SLK got a successor – the SLC model. Mercedes enters the next chapter of the now 20-year history of the compact steel-roofed roadster segment with not only a new name, but also a new look, a new range of engines and more safety technology.
Mercedes-Benz SLC it basically is the new SLK and joins the trend of new names at this German car brand. Mercedes has its appeal two-seater roadster presented at the auto show in Detroit, and the novelty brings a new look (both the exterior and interior underwent changes), new engines and a bunch of other things. Compared to the predecessor, we notice changes in the headlights (they are narrower), and when drawing the mask, they squinted at the design Mercedes SL. The front bumper was also changed, and the tail was added LED lights.
If we move to the interior, more touches of aluminum can be seen there, it is also bigger digital display, and the roof (also available partially with panoramic glass) can be opened and closed at a speed of up to 40 km/h. When it comes to safety, the Mercedes-Benz SLC has been supplemented with, among other things reversing camera, an active anti-collision system in the city and a system for keeping the vehicle in the traffic lane.

The Mercedes-Benz SLC will be available in several versions. basic, SLC 180, will be powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 115 kW, while there will be a diesel representative, SLC 250d, powered by a 2.1-liter engine with 150 kW. The gasoline 2.0-liter V4 versions, on the other hand, will be able to 135 and 180 kW, but the strongest will be somehow SLC 43 AMG with a 3.0-liter V6 engine and 270 kW. In addition to more muscle, the AMG version also has a modified and adjustable chassis, and the interior is also more sporty than the others.
