Today, the first official photos of the station wagon version of the C class found their way to the Internet. The CT, as its official name implies, is ten centimeters longer than its predecessor, and despite its growth, the tab on the scale now shows 65 kg less. Compared to its predecessor, it is also more generous in terms of space for passengers in the second row, where there is now 45 mm more knee room.
As can be seen from the official photos, the wagon version is in style sports wagons, got a very dynamically finished back. It now holds five liters more luggage (490 liters) than the model it replaces, in the basic configuration, and ten when the seats are folded down, where the space increases to 1,510 liters.
At the same time, there is more room for the knees in the second row of seats, more airy but it is also in the shoulder and head area.
As expected, the engine range is complete inherited from the sedan version, which means that at the beginning of the market journey, only certain models will be available, but later many other engine versions will be available, so that the choice is really varied. The base will initially be thus represented by the version CT 200, which will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that develops 132 kW or 180 hp, and on the diesel side there will be a 2.1-liter diesel in the version CT 220 bluetec, which will be capable of 125 kW or 170 hp, and will be positioned even higher version C250 bluetec, which will develop 148 kW or 201 hp.
The same story, as with the engines, will also be written by the C with the equipment packages and the list of additional equipment, which will be rich enough for the segment and also positioned at a price. More information about the model will be known in the coming days.
