Daimler will mark one of Mercedes-Benz's most important victories in motorsport with a special version of the SL roadster model. The limited series model will see the light of day at the Geneva Motor Show, when it will commemorate the victory at the prestigious Mille Miglia race, which was surprisingly achieved in 1955 with the legendary 300 SL model.
Daimler decided to immortalize one of the most important moments, or rather successes, in the history of competitive racing with a special version of the SL roadster model. The red thread will literally be like that, as the special matte black color will be complemented by contrasting details in bright red. This motif will appear on the front and rear spoilers, wheel rims, brake calipers and many places in the interior.
The model will be presented for the first time at the salon in Geneva, when, in addition to the finished exterior image, visitors will also be able to feast their eyes on the carefully crafted interior, which will also be characterized by a black and red motif. This will be replaced on the seats, door panels, floor mats and also on the steering wheel, while seat belts dressed in bright red color. On sports AMG seats but the inscription will also flourish SL Mille Miglia, which will let onlookers know that they are standing in front of a rare example of a modern roadster with a three-pointed star on the nose.
It will work under the hood 4.7-liter six-cylinder engine with power 455 hp, which were given adaptive suspension, dynamic ESP and system active body control. This is meant to be sharp SL 500, which serves as its basis, became even sharper and faster in corners.

The price and the number of produced examples remain a carefully guarded secret for now, but we will certainly know more when the curtains rise on the venue at Palexpo on March 3.
