City of Women 2016, an international festival of contemporary arts, will be held this autumn on the 22nd. Between October 3 and 16, 2016, artists from all over the world will present themselves in Ljubljana: among others Simone Aughterlony, Rosana Cade, Marcia Farquahar, Tania El Khoury, Ria Hartley and Dina Roncevic. The city of women festival has gained recognition over the years, but its transdisciplinary note and, of course, the emphasis on the promotion of female artists are important.
From October 3 to 16 will take place in Ljubljana 22nd International Festival of Contemporary Arts: City of Women 2016. Every year at the beginning of October, the festival hosts a large selection of female artists from all over the world. Besides interdisciplinarity, which invites participants to experiment and cross the boundaries of individual artistic directions, an important stamp of the festival is its feminist role - the authors of concepts and ideas are women, the purpose of which is to draw attention to unbalanced population in artistic circles.

The festival program is rounded off every year with central theme. The events at the festival vary greatly in genre - from installations, dance, film screenings, round tables, sound installations to guided tours, wall paintings in the making and concerts - and they connect with each other in the concept of female creation. This year, among others, female artists will present themselves Simone Aughterlony, Rosana Cade, Marcia Farquahar, Tania El Khoury, Ria Hartley and Dina Roncevic. Early bird tickets are now available, and the offer runs until September 16. You can secure a ticket here.
