At the end of a successful and creative theater season, the City Theater of Ljubljana unveiled the repertoire of the 2014/2015 season, so we are invited to sign up for subscriptions for new subscribers only until June 13.
We are waiting on the stage twelve new stories, which will be created by permanent members of the artistic and technical ensemble together with new guests - directors, actors and other collaborators of the creative process. In addition to new performances, the coming season also brings the continuation of the cycle of reading performances of the Great Game of the World and a new teaching performance. In the collection MGL Library we are looking forward to the release of three new books. In the May subscription system, we follow the good practices of the past, last year we introduced the Radovedna subscription, which was well received by the audience.
REPERTORY 2014/2015
In the 2014/2015 season, the audience is waiting twelve novelties: six premieres on the big stage, six premieres on the Little Stage. Of this, the Slovenian theater space will be quite a bit nine texts performed for the first time (five baptismal and four first Slovenian performances). Most European theaters will mark the anniversary of the start of the First World War through their repertoires. For us, this will be a cue for a more indirect treatment of the 20th century, namely we will be thinking about the entire story of the 20th century, not so much from a political-sociological point of view, but more from an iconographic and phenomenological point of view.
They will revive the memory of some persons, phenomena and myths that significantly marked the past 100 years, counting on the assumption that we are living many (fortunate or unfortunate) consequences of the previous century. The repertoire of the big stage at MGL in the next season was named STORIES OF THE 20TH CENTURY.
