The French boutique motorcycle brand Midual has joined the narrow circle of manufacturers of hyper-expensive motorcycles, and the first of the series is the retro-designed Type 1, on the price tag of which the number 140 thousand euros is written. Many peculiarities in both design and equipment, with signatures of manufacturers such as: Brembo, Öhlins and the like.
At Midual have tackled the matter appropriately for the "hyper" motorcycle segment, as they are for the base took motorcycles from the 30s and 50s of the last century, at least in terms of the design starting point, but for the drive they revived something more than a hundred years old twin engine concept with rollers at an angle of 180 degrees, which is known by the name in the automotive industry boxer engine design, and added a modern design to it monococci and aerodynamic bodywork.
The limited series of motorcycles can be recognized by the retro naked bike design, to which some modern touches have been added in the form of modern counters mounted directly on the fuel tank, the upper part of which can be changed by the owner at will, and there are three (color) versions available.
Great emphasis was also placed on the aerodynamics of the motorcycle and on careful manufacturing, where all leather parts are made by hand. The monocoque frame is made of light aluminum composite and serves as a frame as well as a fuel tank.
The drive is provided by the aforementioned boxer twin engine, which from 1036 cubic centimeters it squeezes out the volume 106 hp, and it is combined with a six-speed gearbox with a multi-layer clutch and an electric starter. A special feature is also the cantilever rear suspension, brembo brake system, placed in 17-inch rims... and Midual takes care of the icing on the cake, because in the case of an annual service or when you just need their services, the service comes to you and not the other way around. Hey, yes 140 thousand euros as much as the type 1 costs, it's just as well.
