Mimicry is the first and largest exhibition of 3D fashion photography in the world. The exhibition has already impressed renowned fashion and photo experts and the public in three London galleries, but now we can also get to know the stories of fourteen photographs by Matjaž Tančič in the size of 150 x 100 cm. The exhibition reveals the contrast between nature and the urban environment. The link between the two is man – a series of models who, with their poses, clothing and styling, merge with their environment. In nature, they are relaxed, in the city concrete they are aggressive. In both, one can feel the vulnerability that they try to hide with the premonition of a dangerous defense mechanism; the exhibition also got its name from this phenomenon, mimicry. The photographs were taken at seven locations in London and Slovenia and represent the author's personal confession, while the models and concept of the photographs are in a way the already successful fashion photographer himself: from harmony with nature to the hidden aggressiveness of the concrete environment.
