If car manufacturers want to stay competitive, they have to develop electric models, there is no other way. The world is moving in this direction and we can only welcome it. The British Mini is also aware of this, and from 2019 onwards, their electric model will be on sale, but in appearance it will not differ much from ..., well, itself.
Electric Mini, which will be produced by the German giant BMW, will be put on display next month at at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
As said, the famous shape remains, but we will still see some changes. The LED brake lights will be in the shape of half of the UK flag, Union Jack. The Mini Electric will accelerate from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in just 7 seconds, and the top speed should be 190 km/h. You will be able to charge the battery up to 80 percent of full capacity in 40 minutes, and you will be able to drive with a full battery 400 km. The ride should cost only 13 cents per kilometer driven. 19-inch wheels they will be adorned with aerodynamic rims that they made with 3D printing.
Base price for Mini Electric should start at 22,000 euros. If you're headed to Frankfurt next month, just check out the new Mini.
