House on the Edge is a modern architectural creation located on top of the Chilean rocky coast in Tunquen, about 50 meters above sea level. House Tunquen floats on the edge of a cliff with a dramatic view of the sea. It was designed by Nicolás Lipthay Allen. Each room is made of white concrete and divided into three separate areas.
Main central space living room, dining room and kitchen are occupied. In the second part, there is a large bedroom, which ends with a children's room and a guest room. Because the strong sound of the south wind the house is designed in accordance with natural laws and despite the bad weather, it allows for a pleasant stay.
From the living room the view extends to inner courtyard, which gives the room shelter from the wind and the possibility of spending free time outside the house. There is space in the yard the garden and outdoor dining.
On the other side of the living room, there are floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that enlarge the space and open to the vast ocean.
The big one open glass frames the windows provide incredible views of the sea and let the interior smell a lot of unspoiled nature.
