In March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic brought the world and the entire fashion industry to a complete halt. That's why creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, in collaboration with Unicef, launched sweaters that encourage vaccination.
Fashion house Valentino a few days ago, it started selling sweaters with the words "Vaccinated" written on them. The creative director got the idea for it from the Los Angeles brand Cloney. He bought five fake Valentino sweaters from the company and gave them to his celebrity friends, including Lady Gaga. The popularity of this piece with clear and strong message quickly grew, so he decided to make it available to the general public.

"Vaccination has become the most effective way to fight a global pandemic. Of course, this is also about respect for others and overall social responsibility," said Piccioli. "We cannot hide behind the concept of freedom if we do not decide to be vaccinated."
Since not all countries have the same opportunity and access to vaccines, Valentino also supports the organization with this project Unicef, as the entire profit from the sale goes to them. It is a global health initiative that will bring more than 2 billion vaccines to citizens around the world and thus effectively curb the pandemic. You can buy the sweater on their Web site. The price is as much as 750 USD.
