Girls who are thinking about having a house full of children, but are afraid that pregnancy, childbirth and upbringing will take their toll, you can breathe a sigh of relief - having more offspring is said to slow down the aging process, and science has found a good reason why so. Do you believe?
Motherhood is certainly not an easy task, as it requires patience, strength and love, which make mothers ready sometimes also go beyond capacity limits. However, this does not mean that motherhood is a dark side of life, but rather a calling that has many amazing features – among other things, it should be natural the elixir of youth, as scientists have found that women who have more children, they age more slowly.
Forget about invasive beauty procedures, because the house is full of your children a guarantee for a youthful appearance!
In the research, published on Science Daily, the scientists came to this conclusion by twice in 13 years analyzed DNA of 75 women, namely theirs telomeres - these are parts of DNA that are located at the ends of chromosomes, they protect them as "caps" and are like a kind of biological clock, which indicates cell aging. When cells divide, telomeres shorten slightly shorten, until they run out completely, which means that the cell can no longer divide. The longer the telomeres are, the better it is for a person. And that's exactly what they found in women who gave birth to more children - they had them longer telomeres, which is supposed to indicate longer lifespan and slower aging, because the cells do not die at such a speed, but continue to duplicate, albeit slowly.
And why do women who have more children have longer telomeres? Slower aging is said to be to blame increasing estrogen, which is produced during pregnancy - as scientists write, this hormone should act as powerful antioxidant, for which otherwise it is considered that prevents unwanted chemical reactions and injury cells. Estrogen therefore ensures that telomeres shorten more slowly.
Scientists write that such results were probably also due to influence environment, in which they live participating women. In the Guatemalan community, it is believed that women are fertile and have the support of friends and family. Greater support, as they write, should stimulate the functioning of metabolic energy, which can also has a positive effect on the tissue, thereby slowing down the aging process.
