35-year-old Neill Blomkamp, also known as the director of the films "District 9" (2009) and "Elysium" (2013), is preparing a new film experience for us with the film "Chappie", which is coming to the big screens in March next year.
The action thriller "Chappie" tells a simple story about a scientist (played by Dev Patel), who creates a robot that can think for itself and for a world that cannot accept this new form of life. Chappie (played by Sharlto Copley) finds himself as a child in a world full of promises and expectations, who wants to become a man under both good and bad environmental influences. The only problem is that Chappie is a robot. And this is the first robot that can not only think for itself, but also feel emotions in itself. His life and his story will change the way we look at robots forever.
The film stars many familiar faces, including Hugh Jackman and Sigourney Weaver and a member of a musical group Die Antwoord, Yo-Landi Visser and Ninja. The film will hit the big screens in March 2015.
