Stories about the ascent of Mount Everest have already been told in countless documentaries, but now Hollywood has a say, as it chose a true story as the basis of the film Everest and packed it into a first-class biographical adventure. Baltasar Kormákur's film describes an ill-fated expedition, and judging by the trailer, where a bunch of big names are lined up in front of the screen, we are not in for an ill-fated or even disastrous film, but a top disaster film.
Everest is an adventure film that based on the true events of 1996 and the book ”Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster” by Jon Krakauer. They get into the role of expedition leaders Scott Fischer and Rob Hall Jake Gyllenhaal and Jason Clarke, and in addition to them, in the historical adventure drama we also find names such as Keira Knightley, Josh Brolin, Sam Worthington, , Robin Wright, Michael Kelly and Emily Watson.

The film was mainly shot in the Dolomites, and the scenes seem so real that it's scary. Which it must be, because in front of a mountain like Mount Everest there is nothing but awe not applicable. Otherwise, as they say, nothing can prepare us to something like climbing the highest mountain in the world, where it is -40 degrees Celsius and oxygen only a third as much as at zero altitude.
