When we look through the film archive of Slovenian cinema, we can count genre films on the fingers of one hand. But with the first real Slovenian full-length horror film Idila, after a long time something other than drama is coming to the cinema screens. Idila is the debut of director and screenwriter Tomaž Gorkič, which recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and premiered at the 11th Grossmann Fantastic Film and Wine Festival.

Idila is the first true Slovenian horror film, which was produced by Blade Production and co-produced by Strup Produkcije. The story revolves around an amateur model Zina, who in the company of Mia, Dragica and of the sublime photographer Blitcz after a wild night, he goes on a fashion photo shoot in nature. But an innocent photo shoot turns into a nightmare. The whole thing becomes suspicious already on the way to idyllic meadow they encounter strange locals, and on the green they get involved in incident, when they allegedly attack them property owners Francl and Vintlr. From here on, we are caught in a spiral of scary events that will give viewers goosebumps like no other Slovenian film to date.
