The aliens are back and with it the epic trailer for the sequel to the 1996 sci-fi mega-hit Independence Day. The new chapter brings back all the familiar faces except Will Smith. His character Steve Hiller died due to a malfunction during the testing of the first extraterrestrial hybrid fighter plane.
Independence Day: Resurgence is the sequel to the bestseller from the year 1996, under which he signed again Roland Emmerich. Except for Will Smith, they are returning to the scene Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A. Fox and Brent Spiner, and among the newcomers we find Liam Hemsworth, Jessie Usher, Maiko Monroe, Selo Ward, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Joey King, Angelababy and William Fichtner.

The next chapter brings a global spectacle of unimaginable dimensions. The Earth armed itself against the aliens with technology obtained from the last conflict in which the Aliens were defeated (they sent call for help), but nothing could have prepared us for what was to come!
