Pixels is another alien invasion movie, but with one important difference. When NASA sends a time capsule into space in 1982 with footage and photographs of life and culture on Earth, the aliens misinterpret the accompanying arcade video games as a harbinger of war. But in response, they don't send alien monsters or robots to Earth, but Pac-Man, and they themselves are ghosts. But Pack-Man is not the only famous arcade character that comes to wreak havoc on our planet.
Cast in the film Pixels it's star-studded, because not only the stars of the digital scene from the golden era are performing arcade video games (such as Pac-Man and Donkey Kong), but also films such as Adam Sandler and Kevin James (both Grown Ups) and series like Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Michelle Monaghan (True Detective), Jane Krakowsi (30 Rock) and Ashley Benson (Pretty Little Liars).

The story goes something like this. Aliens they use video game characters to launch an attack, and President William Cooper (James) turns to Desperate for a solution former champion of arcade games by Sam Brenner (Sandler), otherwise his best friend since childhood. With no military tactics working, the fate of the world depends on teams of retro-toys (Dinklage among them) who take on the aliens with the technologies that powered arcade games, with various unconventional weapons and they are stocked by Violet Van Patten (Monaghan).
Hmmm… but they thought that maybe the aliens came to Earth just to stop Adam Sandler and Kevin James from making new movies. We'll see how they do this time.
