Rock the Kasbah is an American comedy in which the old cats of cinema Bill Murray and Bruce Willis, the always charming Zooey Deschanel and Kate Hudson and the cute Taylor Kinney and the always funny Danny McBride joined forces, and they were "commanded" from behind the camera by Barry Levinson ( Toys, Sleepers). It's about a music manager whose career takes him to Afghanistan, where he's supposed to promote a singer, but he's stuck there with nothing. No singer, no documents and no money. But, it all turns out to be a lucky accident.
If a slightly older generation Rock the Kasbah sounds familiar, it will be because of the band's song of the same name The Clash, otherwise a kasbah is a type of Arab town quarter in North Africa. The composition is well known to at least two of the film's main actors, To Bill Murray and Bruce Willis. He was the first to get into the role music manager, which its last customer (Zooey Deschanel) takes on a tour to Afghanistan, where he leaves him in the lurch and not only runs away, but also steals.
So he finds himself in the middle of Kabul without everything. What at first appears to be a disaster later turns out to be the best moment of his career as he discovers in the cave a female voice that captivates him like no other before.
