In autumn, the thriller Snežak (The Snowman) awaits us with its creepy story, which announces that creepy things have been happening in the city for decades. We will meet detective Harry Hall, who appears as the main character in many novels of one of the most successful and world-famous Norwegian writers, Jo Nesb.
It's November and the first snow has fallen in Oslo. By Bert Becker he comes home from work and praises snowman, which the husband and son made in the garden. But the two of them didn't. When the family stands by the window in the living room and watches the snowman in amazement, the son notices that he is looking towards the house. Yes black eyes stare at the window. Into them. Senior Inspector Harry Hole receives an anonymous letter signed by Snowman. He finds out later striking similarities between old disappearances. Married women disappear when the first snow falls. The same night Sylvia Pedersen stumbling through freshly fallen snow in a forest outside Oslo. He knows, yes it runs on life and death, but she doesn't know what's chasing her. And luckily, she doesn't know what's in front of her...
snowman it is the seventh novel from the series about Detective Hol, in whose shoes he will step in the film Michael Fassbender (Infamous Bastards, 12 Years a Slave, X-Men, Steve Jobs). She takes over the main female role Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, The Girl on the Train). In the film, which is entirely shot in the embrace of the Scandinavian winter on Norway, but we will also watch, among other things Charlotte Gainsbourg (Antichrist, Melancholy) and Oscar winner by JK Simmons (Rhythm of Madness).
It's a snowman Nesbø's the most cinematic book. It was rumored for a while that the movie would be made after her Martin Scorsese, but the task was eventually taken by a Swedish director Thomas Alfredson, who achieved international fame with the spy thriller Boilermaker, tailor, soldier, spy (Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, 2011).
