The Finest Hours is an epic Disney disaster movie based on the 2009 book of the same name by Casey Sherman and Michael J. Tougias. It is the true story of the 1952 Pendleton rescue mission, when a storm tore the tanker in half. The film stars Chris Pine, Casey Affleck and Eric Bana.
Heroic action thriller The Finest Hours (directed by Craig Gillespie) is an incredible true story about a small boat that made history with its rescue mission. The film will move viewers into the heart of what happened when it hit New England a severe storm and in the course of her ravages dealt fatal blows to many ships, among others to the tanker SS Pendleton, which was literally cut in half by the fury of nature.
