Muraka: the world's first underwater villa

Water bungalows are very popular with tourists because they are placed in shallow parts of the sea and therefore conjure up a really special experience. From now on, it will also be possible to stay under the surface on vacation - we present to you the first underwater villa in the world.

Tourist complex Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort he revealed Murako  – an underwater fairy, located on the Maldivian island Rangali. It can be found in Indian Ocean, namely at depth 5 meters.

The word muraka means coral in the Maldivian language. The creators chose such a name because they believe that the villa in some way resembles a coral reef, as it perfectly immerses itself in the world below the surface of the sea.

Muraka is in full surrounded by glass and thus allows guests to admire the rich marine life from the bedroom, living room or bathroom. But that's not all! Visitors can climb on a platform located at sea level, and watch the sunrise and sunset from it. There is an additional living room and bedroom on the surface.

The resort also offers the Ithaa restaurant, which is also underwater. In the surrounding area, you can find eleven more food providers, numerous accommodation options, two spas and three swimming pools. Lovers of water sports will also get their money's worth. The first tourists will try Muraka this November.
