Trbovlje has become one of the more interesting outposts of the festival summer in our country. For the second year in a row, the Association of Zasava Students will organize a festival of ska-punk-hardcore music, named Šklabfest. Last year's festival drew attention to itself with an excellent set of performers and a refined genre orientation. Again this year, the organizers promise an excellent program and top-quality music. This year's star of the festival will definitely be the legendary Jello Biafra, the leader of the cult Californian punks Dead Kennedys, who will present himself in Slovenia with his band Guantanamo School of Medicine. Jello, a candidate for the mayor of San Francisco and a spoken word artist, will sing some of the greatest hits of the former band Dead Kennedys to the fans in addition to the new musical creations of his band at the festival. The Swedes Raised Fist and the Americans Down By Law will also perform on the Šklabfest stage. German ska giants Skaos will provide the ska rhythms. We will also be able to hear Slovenian returnees Niet, and in addition to them we will enjoy excellent performances by Canadian folk-punkers of Irish origin The Mahones, Swedish hardcore punks Misconduct, Mexican ska-core representatives La Plebe from San Francisco, Croatian Fakofbolan, Debeli precjednik, Pasmaters and Slovenian punk rockers Scuffy Dogs and Backstage. Hladno Pivo and the popular Bosnian band Dubioza kolektiv will also perform. The festival will take place in the courtyard of the former mine machine room, which last year fascinated both the performers and many visitors.
