The legend of the Brazilian and world music scene Caetano Veloso will have a concert in Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana.
Caetano Veloso marked many moments of our lives with his voice. The melody of his most famous, legendary and almost nationalized song Garota de Ipanima (Girl from Ipanima) is known to all generations. His music is often used in films - both American and other film productions.
It is a musical legend, a singer-songwriter who has convinced many listeners in his enviable career. His discography counts more than fifty albums, he received nine Latin Grammys and two Grammys. And what hinders his success? Skillfully combining international musical genres with Brazilian musical tradition. Z Gilbert Gil created a musical subgenre called tropicalism, which traditional Brazilian music merges with rock and avant-garde.
The last album music legend Caetano Velos Abraçaço will also introduce us to Cankar's home.
