Štĕnovice in the Czech Republic is probably the last place you would think of when someone mentions an electric car. But it was there that the Luka EV was 'born', a cute coupe with a design from the last century, equipped with a drive from this century.
MW Motors Luka EV which exudes classic mid-20th century design. He picked only the best elements from the recognizable classics of the time and combined them into a beautiful whole. When we look at the front part, we immediately think of Karmanna Ghio, while the last part completely matches the image Aston Martin DB4 from the early 1960s. And that bulge above the front wheels? Definitely a nice memory of the classic one Mercedes-Benz 190 SL.
The interior of the coupe is also completely classic, but still gives us a modern feel. Passengers are treated to comfort leather seats, and the eyes can rest on the dashboard made of carbon. On it you will find modern openings for ventilation and a large touch screen. In the place where the gear lever is usually found, we have rotary knob for selecting gears, which, among other things, is one of the indicators that we are not sitting in a classic car with a classic drive.
Among the flood of electric cars, Luka will surely find his supporters. It has four electric motors in the wheels, each with power 12.5 kW, who live together 67 horsepower. Of course, this is not at the very top among electric cars, which is especially noticeable when accelerating. The entire car weighs only 815 kilograms, which means that even these 67 'horses' have a sufficiently large contribution. The chassis is made of aluminum, the battery with capacity 21.9 kWh and it doesn't weigh much either. At first glance, Luka has a rather hair-raising consumption, which amounts to 6.8 kWh per 100 kilometers driven. This means that with a full battery we can drive up to 300 kilometers and fill it up to 80 % in only 1 hour.
MW Motors Luka EV has not revealed all its true features and capabilities at this time. All its specifications can change quickly, as the car is still in the development phase, and must also pass crash tests. Luka is definitely interesting Czech 'boy', and once it's done, we'll be happy to take a closer look at it.
