BBC Sport has released the official trailer for the Winter Olympics in Sochi, which heightens the already long-awaited big event of this winter with a great deal of drama.
The 22nd Winter Olympic Games are fast approaching. After four years of hard preparation, aspiring sportsmen and women will compete for honors in Sochi, Russia, which rests in the embrace of the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains. British broadcaster BBC Sport released a dramatic official video trailer to mark the occasion.
The story takes us into the slight darkness of snow-covered mountains, through which athletes of various disciplines fight their way with courage and determination. The tension is further created by the narrator, a British actor Charles Dance, known mainly for his role Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones. Perhaps precisely because of the connection to the popular television series, the video transports the viewer to the scene of an epic Hollywood feature rather than the sporting event of the year. The pervading fever of the mystical story thus definitely matches the one that burns in the hearts of all Olympic enthusiasts.
