As you probably know, NASA recently discovered seven planets that are remarkably similar to Earth. The US space agency is now looking for names for them, and you can help them. We would name the planets in the Trappist-1 system Grumpy, Giggle, Sleepy, Doubtful, Sweetheart, Earful, and Know-it-all, after the seven dwarfs from the timeless tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. What suggestion do you have?

Us she discovered a system of seven planets remarkably similar to Earth. They named the system Trappist-1, but is located 39 light years from Earth. Three are said to have oceans and support life, and as many as six have similar temperatures to our planet.


The initiative to name the planets orbiting the dwarf star Trappist-1 was given by a Twitter user SadlyCatless. It was created #7NamesFor7NewPlanets and she soon joined the initiative US space agency.
