Under the weight of a patriarchal society, it quickly happens that women apologize for things they have nothing to apologize for. Do you do the same?
When you say "no". When a woman says "no", she often feels guilty about it. You shouldn't. If you don't want to date or sleep with someone and that's why you say "no", you haven't done anything to apologize to anyone for.
That you like women's or men's work. Many times, girls and boys are forced into hobbies that are more attributed to their gender. If a woman really likes working in a car service center, the surrounding area can only be proud of her.
That you're not wearing makeup. Have you ever felt like you broke a norm because you didn't wear makeup? Like you don't put enough effort into looking beautiful for a special event? It's not fair that you feel this way and you don't have to apologize if you're not wearing makeup.
For food selection. Whether you are a vegetarian, a passionate carnivore or a glutton - what you eat is your choice and you don't have to apologize to anyone for it.
To have fun. If you laugh, dance and jump on the dance floor, it does not mean that you want to attract attention in any way, but that you are having fun. No need to apologize for that.
That you're a little selfish. Selfishness is not necessarily bad, especially in moderation. Taking time for yourself doesn't mean you have to feel bad and apologize for it.
That you have feelings. Humans have emotions that largely influence our perception of ourselves and our surroundings. Sometimes feelings of euphoria prevail, other times anger, third times tears come to the fore. No one owes anyone an account or an apology for their feelings.
When you need help. Everyone needs help from other people now and then. When a woman asks for help, she doesn't need to apologize or feel weak. Men often need help too, but sometimes they are too proud to ask for it.
That you have a different opinion. Facts are facts and opinions may differ from individual to individual. And that's right, because without it there would be no diversity and no possibility for progress. If a woman has a different opinion from her friends, her partner, or the majority, she doesn't have to apologize for it.
For your clothes. Either you dress too nice or you don't really care about your appearance - you can never please everyone and there is always someone who will criticize you. There's no need to apologize for your clothes.
To be proud of your achievements. A woman who feels pride in her achievements is not arrogant. You don't need to apologize to anyone for feeling proud, because you worked hard for your achievements.
That you are happy with your body. If you manage to free yourself from the tyranny of unattainable beauty ideals and are happy with your body, even though it's not perfect, you don't have to apologize to anyone.
That you don't know everything. Nobody is perfect. No one knows everything and everyone makes mistakes. Don't apologize.
For your way of life. What kind of life do you want to live? Family, career, adventure? Whether you will have children or not is your decision. The same goes for a career. You owe no one an apology.
For your sex life. Your body is your business. And the same goes for your sex life. No one needs to apologize for the amount of sexuality that is or isn't present in your life.
