Audi SQ5 TDI

Sales of diesel engines in Europe have fallen significantly, but there are segments in the automotive industry where the presence of diesel engines is still very noticeable. At Audi, they are convinced that the need for fast TDI cars is big enough to bring the seductively sporty Audi SQ5 TDI to the market.

New ones Audi SQ5 TDI can boast of an abundance of torque, because there is plenty of it 700 newton meters. All this torque is provided by the diesel 3.0 liter V 6 cylinder with mild hybrid technology that has 347 horsepower (255 kW). It is in this case too 48-volt a system consisting of an electrically driven compressor that draws energy from a lithium-ion battery. With the help of this technology, Audi got rid of the so-called 'turbo hole' and enabled faster acceleration. The torque-enriched Q5 will need short ones up to a hundred 5.1 seconds, and the final speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

The mild hybrid system not only enables greater sportiness, it also helps us to reduce fuel consumption with the help of electricity. On 100 kilometers long journeys, we can thus save up to 0.7 liters fuel. It probably goes without saying that the Audi SQ5 TDI already has four-wheel drive as standard quattro, and the transfer takes place via 8-speed tiptronic gearbox.

Comparing the design of the sporty SUV with its 'regular' version, there are visual changes subtle but it is still obvious that the SQ5 more aggressive at a glance. It is available as standard 20-inch aluminum wheels that can be upgraded with a number larger. The Audi SQ5 TDI will be for sale from this summer onwards, and its entry price in Germany is 67,750 euros.
