After the first speculations, we all expected that Mazda would present a new generation Mazda CX-3, but something happened that surprised us - the new Mazda CX-30 came to the market. And how does it differ from other Mazda models?
Mazda CX-30 is a new member of the Mazda family, which will appear in all world markets - in terms of barrel size honey models CX-3 and CX-5, has a little more restrained design, with a more conservative approach to the Kodo design language, the proportions are balanced, the design is less aggressive like the Mazda CX-5 and rides on the architecture Skyactive.
New Mazda CX-30 will be powered by EURO 6 petrol and diesel engines and will be available with a manual or automatic 6-speed gearbox. All petrol engines will be available with Mazda's M Hybrid system – a mild hybrid system in which a built-in lithium-ion battery helps with starting, acceleration and efficiency. The system thus consists of gasoline engine, electric motor and 24 volt batteries.
The new Mazda CX-30 will feature Mazda's latest Skyactive-X engines, which are said to combine the best features gasoline and diesel engines. We don't yet have exact figures on engine performance in the CX-30 model, but judging by the new Mazda3, we can expect around 178 horsepower. It will also offer four-wheel drive with a torque distribution system - this should enable greater traction and better driving characteristics, without increased fuel consumption.
The Mazda CX-3 is a popular car here, but it can quickly become a new car Mazda CX-30 due to larger proportions soon overtook.
