The Mercedes-Benz SL model has been with us for almost 70 years. After a long wait, the time has come for the SL with model designation R323, which is significantly different compared to its predecessor and is practically a completely new car. In all likelihood, it is also one of the last automotive classics. Something extremely valuable for future collectors!
2022 Mercedes-AMG SL, or Sport Leicht, with its latest version brings a new platform, new design, new technology and a luxurious, so-called, 2+2 interior. At the same time, it will also replace the GT Roadster model, and it will be available exclusively under the Mercedes-AMG brand. The design follows current Mercedes guidelines, with sharp exterior lines, a pleasing Panamericana grille and headlights very similar to those on the CLS model. The slender side profile is completed by the dip hooks and the convertible roof, which is again canvas with the new model. Compared to a metal roof, a three-layer canvas roof is quite 21 kilograms lighter, closes and opens in 15 seconds, and it can be controlled up to speed 50 km/h. The sporty rear is characterized by four tailpipes and an active air deflector.
The luxurious leather interior offers four seats and the latest version of the infotainment system MBUX. It dominates the middle of the dashboard 11.9-inch touch screen that can be moved towards the users in the range between 12 to 32˚. The driver is available 12.3-inch instrument screen and projection screen with technology enriched reality. We cannot imagine a convertible of a prestigious brand without the so-called ʺair scarfʺ. The heating system is integrated into the headrests of the seats and ensures the heating of the passengers, and is available as part of the standard equipment.

He will drive them 4.0-liter V-8 cylinder engine, which in the case of the SL version will have 55 476 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, in version EN 63 well 585 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. For the first time in the history of the SL model, only this one will be available with all-wheel drive 4Matic and 4Matic+. He will take care of the power transfer 9-speed automatic gearbox with quick acceleration function. An electronic rear differential lock will be available as an option. The Mercedes-AMG SL should be available already in the future year.
