Compared to its predecessor, the new Mini Cabrio has grown a bit, and with it, our appetites for the summer of 2016 have also grown. It maintains the driving sensations of a go-kart and the multi-layered canvas roof that folds or erects in a mere 18 seconds, but the new Mini Cabrio has made both visual and substantive leap forward. There is a never-before-seen package of LED headlights, improved digital communication with the surroundings, more space on the seats and in the trunk... It will roll into showrooms in March 2016.
The bottom line Mini Cabrio it is driving with the roof open, so Mini has done us a disservice when he has his new little one Mini Convertible presented at a time when we have to wrap ourselves in more and more layers of clothing, while he himself swears by riding without the top. But at the same time, we can look forward to the spring or summer of 2016 all the more. The Cabrio is coming March 2016 and has somewhat increased bodywork values as a precursor. It is 10 centimeters longer (98 mm) and four centimeters wider (44 mm), and the wheelbase has been stretched by three centimeters (28 mm). This can also be seen in the trunk, which is a quarter larger and measures 160 when the roof is open, and 215 liters, and also boasts the Easy Load function.
Multi-layer canvas roof (can be woven with Union Jack graphics) has a built-in quiet and fast automatic closing and opening mechanism, and the roof can be unfolded or stowed (including the sliding function) in just 18 seconds, and that's all up to a speed of 30 km/h. In this regard, it is also necessary to mention the application, which is directly attached to the roof and releases rain warning, and rollover protection that automatically activates when the Mini senses danger. It will be available with three engines, namely as a three-cylinder petrol engine with 136 hp (100 kW), as a four-cylinder petrol engine with 192 hp (141 kW) and as a three-cylinder diesel engine with 116 hp (85 kW).
