This is the new Opel Insignia Grand Sport (2017). The second generation is more spacious and more dynamic than the current Insignia Grand Sport. Opel will present the sedan with a sporty and elegant appearance of the highest class to the public for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show. It was later joined by the Insignia Grand Tourer station wagon.

This one will be more spacious and up to 175 kilograms lighter from its predecessor, for which it has to thank the newly developed platform. The external dimensions remain practically the same (length meas 4897 mm), but it is much lower, while it is Wheelbase pulled by 92 millimeters, which in practice means more space for passengers. The seating position is lower (by three centimeters), so the driver, on whom the workspace is focused - for better transparency they have given up some buttons on the center console - to feel the movement of the car more. The new Opel Insignia Grand Sport has a thousand and one assistive device. Opel goes so far as to claim that no car in this segment offers as wide a range of intelligent technologies as the all-new Insignia. Among other things, this automatically brakes, helps to keep the direction within the driving lane, offers a live image from camera system with a 360-degree field of view, warns of cross traffic next to the vehicle... The second generation takes care of the lighting IntelliLux LED headlights, which are even more flexible when it comes to lighting the surroundings. They throw light almost half a kilometer away (400 meters). They also perfected it flexible FlexRide chassis. It has projection screen, which information on speed, signs, instructions of the navigation system, etc. projected onto the windshield. The trunk offers from 490 to 1450 liters of space.

During production, they relied on the Monza concept from 2013. The range of engines will include 1.5- and 2-liter petrol engines and 1.6- and 2-liter diesels, and transmitted the power to the wheels six-speed gearbox. New is the eight-speed automatic transmission with optimized friction that comes with the sports model z 250 hp (185 kW) and advanced four-wheel drive.
