Gordon Parks is one of the few masters of photography who have gone down in world history in one way or another with his legendary work. He impressed us with a unique set of photographs that he took way back in 1958, inspired by the night happenings in the notorious Latin Quarter nightclub in New York.
Dark-skinned photographer marked the history of photography mainly with his documentary work, as he used his photographic lens to mark many key historical moments of American culture, while he was particularly attracted to dark social phenomena and problems, such as poverty, everyday bourgeois life, racism and the rest pressing social issues of that time.
The editorial, in which we witness fantastic photos of girls from a New York night bar, was created during the phase when the freelance artist started fashion photography. It was published in 1958 in a magazine Life, in which Parks was the first official black photographer. Thanks for this "honor" and for many other awards and recognitions that brought him to world fame, go to the legendary photos of the girls from the night bar Latin Quarter.
