The 150th anniversary of the London Underground was paid tribute in a unique way at Nike. Featuring the London Underground Air Max Collection.
Nike's latest London Underground Air Max Collection combines two urban super icons: the Nike Air Max shoe and the London Underground. It is a tribute to the 150th anniversary of the London Underground. The slipper is dressed in the patterns of the London Underground, a recognizable geometric pattern dating back to 1978, when designer Misha Black created patterns for the wallpaper on the new District Line trains. However, Niko's tribute to the London Underground does not end "just" with the pattern, the logo also shines on the tongue of the slippers. The slippers represent a different and unique style, the kind that London itself actually "wears".
