Nikola is a startup from Arizona, and the name itself tells you that it is something electrical. After Tesla, Rivian, Ford and General Motors, another electric semi-truck, the Nikola Badger, is coming to the market.
A semi-truck Nikola Badger will have available electric motor and battery (160 kWh), and at the customer's request, they will add more container for liquefied hydrogen and hydrogen cell (120 kW), which will convert hydrogen into electricity. The distance that the Badger will be able to reach will be thus up to 960 kilometers, and it will be able to produce up to 906 horsepower. So it will be in extraordinary conditions, when he really needs them, otherwise he will drive with the help "only" 455 horsepower. To accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h the semi-truck will only need 2.9 seconds, and it will be able to drag more than 3,600 kilograms heavy cargo.
The Nikola Badger could be extremely useful for companies that need tools, compressors, lighting to get the job done, such as forestry or construction companies. Badger will be equipped with socket with power 15 kW, which provided enough energy for approx 12 hours maintenance of the construction site, which should no longer be needed auxiliary electric generators.
