Portable gaming consoles are entering the world of three dimensions with great fanfare. Well, it's actually Nintendo that's doing just that with its new 3DS mini console. And how does the thing actually work, given that we don't need special 3D glasses? The upper stereoscopic 3D screen provides a sense of spaciousness and depth of objects and the game itself. At a resolution of 800×240, it distributes 400 mega points for each eye and thus creates a feeling of depth. The bottom screen can display a resolution of up to 320×240, with both screens capable of displaying 16.77 million colors. In order not to be completely stuck in the 3D world, a special slider is built into the edge of the upper screen, which is used to set the level of 3D depth. The 3D effect can also be turned off completely, so you can play regular DS games without any problems. At the same time, the 3DS offers us the possibility of capturing 3D photos with the help of two built-in cameras. It is, of course, clear that the wide field of applicability does not end there. Listening to music, surfing the Internet, Mii Maker is just a few of the many other options that Nintendo has hidden under the New 3DS case.
