The Finnish brand Nokia is known to many mainly for its durable phones, which were popular before the era of smartphones. The Nokia 8 Sirocco aims to change this consumer mindset. It will impress with its glass with rounded edges and waterproof design.
Compared to its predecessor, the Nokia 8, it is Nokia 8 Sirocco above all more visually appealing. 5.5 inch screen is along the edges slightly rounded. But it's not just the beautiful design that attracts attention. The contents will be displayed in resolution 2K. The device is powered by a powerful Qualcomm 835 processor. It is available 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The memory is expandable with a card micro SD. The Nokia 8 Sirocco battery with a capacity of 3260 mAh is possible charge wirelessly. The user will also be able to use it below the surface of the water, namely up to a meter deep within a maximum of 30 minutes.
There are 2 cameras on the back of the phone: normal with resolution 12MP and telephoto with a resolution of 13 MP. The latter is intended creating close-up shots. The front camera really only has 5 MP resolution, but Nokia claims that its sensor is compared to the previous one significantly better, which allows for better photo quality.
Nokia 8 Sirocco runs on the operating system Android Oreo.
The price of the new Nokia model is 749 euros. We will soon find out if the device is worth the money. You will be able to buy it in Europe in April.
