On September 30, the autobiography Not That Kind Of Girl written by Lena Dunham, the main character of the Girls series, will be released. "If sharing what I've learned so far makes even one humiliating job or relationship easier for you, or keeps you from the kind of sex where you have to keep your sneakers on in case you have to run away, then every wrong step in my life paid off,'' says Dunham about her book.
Lena Dunham, the author of the series Girls, in which she plays the main character the young (un)successful writer Hannah Horvath, showed her many life failures and hardships already in the first three seasons of the series, the script of which is mostly based on true events. V autobiography Not That Kind Of Girl, whose publication is expected in a few weeks, the young writer will take us through many of them with a witty style mental distress, therapies and fears, which have been a part of her life since she was nine years old. Honestly, no reservations and kind of like what Hannah does in Girls.
For herself, she says she knows she is neither a psychologist, nor a sex or diet expert, nor a mother of three children, nor a successful entrepreneur. She's just a girl who strives to "have it all," resulting in a first-hand account of her struggle with life, which is nevertheless a hopeful read.
And finally this: Dunham is said to have received around €2,640,000 in advance for writing the biography, which is certainly a good number for the autobiography of a twenty-eight-year-old woman.
