In 2018, the largest Slovenian architecture festival Open House of Slovenia OHS will take place for the ninth time, when the best, most innovative, most energy-efficient, architecturally excellent buildings will once again be opened and architecture that opens up a different vision of space will be shown.
Open houses of Slovenia allow people to experience that in buildings they enter, test them, get in touch with architects, users, owners, contractors and other professionals. The theme of this year's architecture festival OHS 2018 it is Architecture is for people. Namely, OHS wants to promote awareness that buildings we build and design for people. Therefore, in all planning processes it is important to be aware of the impact that buildings have on ours health, safety, performance and well-being. We build buildings for a long period of time, so their performance, energy consumption and the correct choice of materials are important to us sustainable and aware social social and economic development.
It will be on display this year 100 private and public buildings and spatial arrangements, which will be selected by a special expert jury. You can follow the program here.
