Have your towels lost their softness? Have they become rough, hard and non-absorbent?

Even the highest quality fabrics wear out with daily use and frequent washing. towels Over time, soft, absorbent, and fragrant towels become rough, dry, and unpleasant to the touch.

Many people give up and replace them with new ones, but this is not always necessary. On the contrary - the key is in the correct washing technique, which restores the softness of the towels.

The most common mistake that ruins the softness of towels

Most people think that the solution is to use more fabric softener. But the truth is completely different. Towels are made of dense, absorbent fibers that retain detergent residue. Instead of softness, over time we end up with hard, inflexible fabrics that lose their absorbency and start to smell unpleasant.

A simple process with a big impact

The solution lies in double washing. First cycle is intended for cleaning with a combination baking soda and a mild detergent, which together act as a natural cleaner. The washing takes place at a higher temperature, which further helps dissolve any residue.

When the cycle is complete, the following one more wash, this time with the addition alcoholic vinegar. No other agents, just vinegar, which effectively removes everything that's left.

What after washing?

When both cycles are completed, the best decision is sun drying. Not only does the sun dry without odors, it also further disinfects the fabric. If this is not possible, choose to dry in the dryer on low temperature – this will further soften the towels and extend their shelf life.

The towels will be incredibly soft, fragrant, and absorbent after this process.

The hidden enemies of fresh towels

In addition to improper washing, there are other dangers waiting for your towels: humidity in the bathroom, poor drying, too little water during washing, overfilled washing machine drums. All of this reduces washing efficiency and contributes to residue buildup.
